The first AAMF Open Mic/Poetry Slam event is set for Friday, 4th November!
The start time is 8 pm. and the venue is the Sands Club, Al Ain. Jaya Chela Drolma will be opening the event.
Poets, short story writers, and singers are invited to take the microphone!
Paul Nancarrow is joining the bill for the AAMF 2016 ‘Folk Night‘ on Friday, 11th November at the Sands Club, Al Ain. Paul will be playing his mandolin alongside of Joan McEldowney. They will cover an Eddie Vedder song from the movie, “Into the Wild“; a Strumbellas’ song; and songs from Joan’s own album, “Storm“.
Formerly a lecturer at Queen’s University, Belfast, Paul is now an Associate Professor at the American University of Sharjah.
The AAMF 2016 ‘Mix, Mingle and Create‘ Workshop will run from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday, 4th November at the Sands Club.
This workshop for budding painters is a new departure for the Al Ain Music Festival. Normally, of course, the focus is on live music events.
Hopefully, this ‘paint & sip’ session will add even more colour to the eclectic AAMF 2016 programme! Tickets cost AED. 150 and include two beverages.

Al Ain’s finest rock band in action at the recent “70s Night at the Sands”…
The opening band for the AAMF 2015 will be Sounding Boards!
This band has been entertaining audiences in Al Ain for several years now with their own blend of rock music.
The Sounding Boards are:- David Frey – Vocals and Lead Guitar; David Connell – Bass; Danielle Bruckert – Cello; and Mark Campbell – Drums.
“The Halloween Rock Night” is set for Friday, 30th October at the Sands Club.
