Here’s a new message about this video to AAMF supporters from the harp guitarist, Jason Carter…
After a break from making music videos for a while, I decided to emerge with something different. This music video was inspired by footage I saw by John Haddad at NYU in Abu Dhabi, shots of the ‘Holoscenes’ project – Created by Lars Jan / Early Morning Opera, Produced by MAPP International Productions. When I saw these awesome underwater images I was granted permission to use them, then there was the task of building a ‘story’ around them.
Here is the video – ‘Falling Upwards’, this is the beginning of a new era (for me) of more solid storytelling through music and film. I would love your comments and feedback as always!
For those of you who are interested the slow motion was shot on an early Black Magic URSA 4K (V2), the rest shot on the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera with Arriflex/Zeiss lenses in RAW and edited with Davinci Resolve. Filmed on Budaiya and Jazeera Beaches in Bahrain.
Holoscenes shots by John Haddad
Jason underwater shots by Jody Peck

Harp Guitar made by Sean Woolley
Thanks again to Bill Bragin at NYU, Lars Jan and MAPP Productions for the kind permission to use the underwater people shots.
With best wishes from Jason Carter “
